The Florida Manatee Festival finally returns to downtown historic Crystal River for it’s 34th year. The Florida Manatee Festival will take place on March 27th and March 28th. Each year, the Manatee Festival alone brings in over 20,000 visitors to the Crystal River area. Crystal River is still one of the only places in the worlds where you can legally swim with the manatee.

The Florida Manatee Festival is one of the largest festivals that honors the famous manatee. It is consistently voted as a “Best of the Best” festival by Citrus County locals. Each year, more vendors, live entertainment and ways to honor the manatee are added to the lineup.
Ways to See the Florida Manatee
While at the Florida Manatee Festival, visitors can take a free bus tour to the famous Three Sisters Springs. The tour bus will be available at the corner of N.W. 1st Avenue and N.E. 5th Street. Additionally, for a small fee, visitors can take a boat ride on a Manatee Boat Tour. Also, festival goers can get up close and personal on a guided tour for only $10 from Hunter Springs Kayaks.
The Florida Manatee Festival packs in great live entertainment for the weekend. Artists range from DJs playing popular music, to rock n’ roll and country bands. Food and Vendors
The Florida Manatee Festival packs in plenty to see and do during the weekend. Shop from vendors ranging from fine art, retail and craft goods and even storefronts along Citrus Avenue. Additionally, festival goers can grab a bite to eat at the various food trucks, restaurants in downtown Crystal River and refreshment stands.
